Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Portovo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

These Terms of Service are governed alongside our Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy. All three documents apply to your use of Portovo, and you are deemed to have read and accepted each of them. Where there is any conflict, the more specific document governs the relevant subject matter (for example, the AUP governs prohibited conduct; the Privacy Policy governs personal data handling).

2. What Portovo is

Portovo is a personal portfolio tracking platform that allows you to:

• Record and track assets and liabilities across multiple categories and currencies
• View your net worth and portfolio composition
• Receive AI-generated insights, legacy statements, and investment guides
• Connect bank accounts via third-party aggregators (where available)

3. What Portovo is not — and the AI specialists

The following terms apply specifically to the AI Specialists, the AI prompt bar, and any other AI-generated output produced by Portovo. These provisions duplicate corresponding provisions of our Acceptable Use Policy; both apply, and the more protective wording governs.

• Informational analysis only. AI Specialists provide informational and educational analysis. They do not provide financial, legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or investment advice, and they do not create any advisor-client, fiduciary, or professional relationship between you and Portovo.
• Consult licensed professionals. You must consult an appropriately licensed professional in your jurisdiction (for example, an OJK-registered advisor in Indonesia or an SC- or BNM-regulated advisor in Malaysia) before acting on any Specialist output.
• No warranty of accuracy. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, out of date, or misleading. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or fitness for any purpose of any AI-generated content.
• Past performance is not future performance. Any historical figures, projections, scenario analyses, or comparisons are illustrative only and do not predict future returns.
• You assume all risk. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, or fail to make, based on AI output, and you assume all associated risk including financial loss, missed gains, tax exposure, and any consequential or downstream harm.

4. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Portovo.
• One person per account. Accounts are non-transferable.

5. Your data

You own your data. Portovo does not claim ownership of any financial information you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

6. Data accuracy

Asset values, prices, and exchange rates displayed in Portovo are provided as-is from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Portovo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any financial data. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your portfolio records.

7. Subscriptions and payments

• Free plan: Limited feature access, no payment required.
• Core plan: Full feature access at the published price (monthly or annual billing).
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the billing date.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of a charge for a refund request.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Portovo for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the application
• Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers)
• Misuse AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or fraudulent content

9. Bank connectivity

Where available, Portovo offers bank account connectivity via licensed third-party aggregators. The following terms govern this feature:

• Brick is the regulated provider. Where applicable, Portovo's bank connectivity is delivered via Brick, a licensed account information provider. Brick is regulated by OJK in Indonesia and operates consistent with applicable BNM and PDPA requirements in Malaysia.
• We never store bank credentials. Portovo does not receive, store, or transmit your online banking username, password, OTP, PIN, or biometric. Authentication occurs directly between you and your bank (or between you, Brick, and your bank).
• You authorise read-only data access. By linking an account, you authorise Portovo and Brick to retrieve read-only account data (balances, transactions, account metadata) on your behalf. The connection cannot move money, place orders, or change any setting at your bank.
• You can revoke at any time. You may disconnect any linked account at any time via Settings, or by contacting us. Disconnection takes effect immediately for ongoing data pulls; previously retrieved data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
• Bank-side actions are your responsibility. Portovo is not responsible for any actions taken on your bank account, including any actions performed by you, by Brick, or by your financial institution in connection with the linkage. Your relationship with your bank, and any obligations or restrictions in your bank's terms (including any prohibition on aggregation services), are between you and your bank.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Portovo and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any financial losses resulting from reliance on information displayed in the application
• Any investment decisions made based on AI-generated content or insights
• Inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete financial data from third-party sources
• Service interruptions, data loss, or security breaches beyond our reasonable control

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where possible. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the application. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
